Pumpkin Spice Lattes, crunchy, colorful leaves, and Halloween are a few of the fun aspects of the Fall season. Now that your host kids are back in school, you may have more time on your hands to get into the season.
Here are some activities you can engage in with your host kids:
- Your host kids may be learning about the different seasons in school. Making a checklist of things to do during Fall is a great way to start!
- With all the leaves falling from different trees, educate your host kids on the different types of leaves and trees. You can use Google or Wikipedia to help you on this.
- You can use paint to make make leaf prints if you have younger host kids who like to get messy. Using the outline of the leaf, paint over the leaf to make a colorful print. Or dip your hands in paint to make hand prints in the shape of a leaf.
- Leaves aren’t the only thing falling from trees. Use pine cones or acorns to create little animal creatures – these are perfect for home decoration! (Make sure you wash them before handling them with care)
Whether you’re on the East Coast or West, there are plenty of Fall season related activities you can do with your host kids. Pinterest is a great website to get creative this season.
